Added

• chat, assist and the TUI draw the task list the agent keeps. todo_write is registered on the terminal by default, and the tool itself says it exists so the person watching can see where the agent is. The desktop drew that list; the terminal did not, so the model kept a checklist nobody at a terminal saw.

  • The turn report now carries the list from the last todo_write the tool accepted.
  • It is printed under the reply with a progress count and one mark per status.
  • Task text is escaped, so a task cannot inject console markup. (#596)

• chimera cron doctor --check exits 1 when a job is late or failing. It is for a watcher that lives outside Chimera (#26).

  • Plain cron doctor still exits 0: answering a question is not a failure.
  • The host-cron example in docs/deploy.md used to mail the same report every thirty minutes, healthy or not. It now mails only on exit 1, in all ten languages. (#593)

Fixed

• Under --fuse, the TUI no longer claims "fusion — synthesizing" on every turn. Fusion never answers a step that can call a tool, and every step of this agent can call one.
  • The busy label now says so.
  • After a turn fusion did not answer, the TUI says so once per session. (#594)

Changed

• CI and the release workflows build and test on Node 24. They were on Node 20, which reached end of life in April 2026. (#592)

• Dependency updates:

  • accelerate (#512);
  • react-markdown 9 → 10 (#477);
  • jsdom 25 → 30.1.1 (#595). jsdom 30 implements object URLs, but only for its own Blob, so the desktop test setup now always installs its object-URL fake.
