v0.33.0 — Intel Macs + a real frontend test suite

This is the release note as published, not a rewrite of it. Release notes are published in the language they were written in.

Intel Macs can now install (and self-update)

macos-latest is arm64-only, so until now an Intel Mac literally couldn't install the native app — the aarch64 .dmg won't run — and got no updater entry either. This release builds on macos-15-intel too, publishing an x86_64 .dmg plus a signed darwin-x86_64 updater artifact. Intel Macs both install and self-update from here.

(The frozen backend sidecar is arch-specific, so a "universal" build wouldn't have fixed it — the backend has to be built on an Intel runner. Heads-up: macos-15-intel is the last x86_64 image GitHub Actions offers, retiring ~Aug 2027.)

A frontend test suite that actually bites

51 component tests (Vitest + Testing Library) now run in CI. They guard the places where a regression would be dishonest, not just ugly: no false "update available" signal, a reverted attempt labelled attempted-and-undone (never a green "applied"), the approved plan being what actually reaches the run, cooperative Stop, and the "ran in-place WITHOUT isolation" banner. Proven non-vacuous by mutation testing — which also caught a real gap in the update signal's guards, now closed.

If you're on v0.32.2, your app will offer this as an in-place update. Fresh installers + pip install -U 'chimera-agent[desktop]' also available.
