v0.80.0
This is the release note as published, not a rewrite of it. Release notes are published in the language they were written in.

-
Skill card: do not widen types to silence the checker. A new pattern card on narrowing a value or handling the missing branch instead of widening an annotation to
Any,objector an unchecked union, translated into every site language. Contributed by @CG-5228. (#1150) -
Design: watch an HTML artboard form while the model writes it. A new proposal streams its page into a static preview as it is generated; the preview is sandboxed with no permissions, runs no script and reaches no network, and it gives way to the usual proposal, which is still applied only when you accept it. (#1154)
-
Design: tweaks and side-by-side directions for HTML artboards. An artboard can declare typed CSS variables (colour, number, choice) that the inspector adjusts without calling the model, each change undoable and validated so no value can inject CSS; and the assistant can propose 2 to 4 distinct directions at once, laid out side by side and never applied until you accept. (#1153)
-
Design: fluid-width presentation and selection kept across reloads. An HTML artboard with
mode: fillnow fills the screen in presentation (the canvas keeps its stored width, so zoom never triggers its media queries), and the selected element stays highlighted after the artboard reloads. (#1152) -
Restricted model scripts in HTML artboards. An HTML artboard may carry one model-written
text/x-chimerascript that runs only on the canvas, in an opaque-origin frame whose CSP admits that block by hash; thumbnails and exports stay script-free. (#1151) -
Export HTML artboards. HTML artboards now export to HTML, PDF, PNG and PPTX; the PPTX keeps each text block editable, and every export renders with scripts and network off. (#1149)
-
Edit an HTML artboard element in place. In Chimera Design, clicking an element of an HTML artboard selects it, and the inspector changes its inline style and text without a model call; each change undoes exactly, and the selection reaches the model as fenced data. (#1148)
-
Chimera Design draws screens as HTML/CSS. The design agent now writes each artboard as a self-contained HTML/CSS screen, rendered in a sandboxed frame on the canvas; the piece-by-piece operations remain for fine adjustments. (#1147)
-
The design agent can write HTML artboards. New
write_artboard,edit_artboardandread_artboardactions write one screen at a time and revise by exact replacement instead of rewriting the file; design tokens become CSS variables. (#1145) -
HTML artboards render on the design canvas. An artboard with an HTML source shows on the canvas, in thumbnails and in presentation inside a fully sandboxed frame with its own content security policy; design tokens become CSS variables. (#1144)
-
Chimera Design artboards can hold an HTML/CSS source. The first step toward generating each screen as HTML: a validated, allowlisted source per artboard with exact-undo operations. (#1143)
Fixed
- The desktop updater no longer ships a vulnerable
zip. The updater unpacks Windows updates withzip, which moves from 4.6.1 to 9.1.3 and past three advisories: a critical header differential that can overwrite arbitrary files, unbounded symlink targets that can exhaust memory, and an AES authentication bypass. An update was only unpacked after its signature verified, which limited the exposure. (#1156)
